The work

Real churches. Real results.

Each began with what looked like a people problem and turned out to be a system problem. The work below was led by our Senior Partner, Ezekiel Taylor.

students every week, up from about ten

Story 01

Youth ministry rebuild

At nineteen, Ezekiel inherited a youth ministry of about ten students after the previous youth pastor resigned.

What changed

  1. 01Grew the core volunteer team from 3 to 10, with a bench of 30 to 40 people called in only three or four times a year for big events, so nobody burned out.
  2. 02Set aside dedicated budget for four major events a year and funded weekly programming separately.
  3. 03Built team meetings around Care, Commitment and Communication, a rhythm Ezekiel still teaches.
  4. 04Weekly attendance grew to 60 to 100 students.

in worship, through the pandemic

Story 02

A plan to come back together

Ezekiel arrived in the middle of the pandemic to a congregation of about 250 with no plan to return to worship.

What changed

  1. 01Phase one: outdoor services on an LED wall, with audio over FM radio so members could worship from their cars.
  2. 02Phase two: rotating 50-person indoor services by sign-up.
  3. 03Phase three: full capacity.
  4. 04The congregation grew to close to 500. The LED wall is still in use.

camera runs the whole livestream

Story 03

Communication on a real budget

A small sanctuary, no budget for robotic cameras, and members who needed to stay connected from home.

What changed

  1. 01A full rebrand of the church’s look and voice.
  2. 02A single-camera rig on a rolling tripod, so one volunteer can run the livestream with no cords across walkways.
  3. 03A new website that opens on a video reel of an actual service, so visitors see the church before they visit.

words that define the church: Decide, Determined, Distinguished

Story 04

Planting Krino Church

Uniting People Church needed more than a new name. Ezekiel led a complete rebrand into Krino Church, from the Greek word for discern: a new vision, a new team and new people.

What changed

  1. 01An identity built on three words: Decide to follow Jesus, Determined to live like Jesus, Distinguished in how the church lives and serves.
  2. 02A leadership structure with clear roles: a lead pastor for vision and teaching, an executive pastor for shepherding and operations, and a worship director.
  3. 03A simple Sunday: keyboard and a few worship leaders, warm minimal lighting, and no heavy production.
  4. 04A black-and-white visual identity with a heavy, custom wordmark.
